CO-CHAIRS
Guilherme Dias is a photo conservator-restorer based in Rio de Janeiro with interests in conservation science, photographic conservation-restoration and collections management. He holds a master’s degree in Preservation and Management from the Postgraduate Program in Preservation and Management of the Cultural Heritage of Science and Health (PPGPAT) at COC – Fiocruz. He is graduated in Conservation-Restoration from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He currently works as a conservator-restorer at the Moreira Salles Institute’s Preservation and Conservation Center (NPCA/IMS).
Mariana Onofri is an art conservator with interests in community engagement and sustainability. She holds a Master’s degree in Arts with an emphasis on Cultural Heritage Preservation from the Graduate Program in Arts at the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Minas Gerais and a Bachelor’s degree in Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Heritage from the same institution. Mariana is a member of the International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (IIC), where she volunteers on the Communications Team and is a co-opted member of the Professional Development and Standards Committee. She’s currently a researcher at the UFMG Museum’s Network Project.

Anna Beatriz da Silva Cardoso is a student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). During her studies, she served as communications director in two administrations of the Academic Center of the same course, as well as a restoration intern in public works and a volunteer in heritage education projects in the city of Belém-PA. During the course she fell in love with the culture of her region and always seeks to value her Amazonian roots. She also has an interest in immaterial heritage and cultural legislation in Brazil.
Ana Carolina Marques de Souza is a Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage undergrad student at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Holds a Master’s degree and degree in History from the Federal University of Ouro Preto. Currently doing intership at Public Archive of Minas Gerais (APM). Recently participated in the organizing committee of Hub Brasil for the 30th Biennial Congress of the IIC, held at the UFMG Hub. The areas of interest are conservation and restoration of graphics documents and cultural heritage.
Bárbara Sanches is studying Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). She has a degree in Chemical Engineering and a specialization in Occupational Safety Engineering. She is a scholarship student on a research project to investigate the production of ferrogallic paint in Minas Gerais during the 18th and 19th centuries. She took part in the Hub Brasil organizing committee for the 30th IIC Biennial Congress, at the UFMG hub.
Bianka Santos is a Digital Reproduction Technician at the Instituto Moreira Salles (IMS) and holds a degree in History from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), where she is also a Conservation and Restoration student. She previously worked as a volunteer researcher at iLab (Scientific Imaging Documentation Laboratory), conducting studies in colorimetry applied to the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage. She also served as a teaching assistant for the Photography A and Color Management courses.
Gabriela Lúcio is a PhD student in Museology and Heritage at the Postgraduate Program in Museology and Heritage at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro and the Museum of Astronomy and Related Sciences. Master’s degree in Information Science from the Postgraduate Program in Information Science at the University of Brasilia. Bachelor in Conservation and Restoration from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Editor-in-chief of Desvio magazine and Volunteer collaborator / Content producer at APOYOnline. She is a member of the IIC and ANCIB. She was a scholarship student in the Adapt: Conservation and Leadership in a Time of Change (IIC/Getty Foundation).
Isabel Bouzada is a Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage undergrad student at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). She is currently a scholarship student in the Paisagens em Branco Project at the Laboratory of Antarctic Studies in Human Sciences at UFMG, where she researches the effects of temperature and humidity variations on the archaeological collection housed in the laboratory. She recently participated in the organizing committee of Hub Brasil for the 30th Biennial Congress of the IIC, held at the UFMG Hub. She will now be part of The Gilding Project at the Conservation Science Laboratory (LACICOR), in partnership with The Getty Conservation Institute.
Natália Freitas is a master’s student in Chemistry at the Chemistry Postgraduate Program of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). She has a Bachelor’s degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage from UFMG’s School of Fine Arts, with cross-training in Science Communication, also from UFMG. She has experience in the conservation and restoration of cultural goods with paper and metal surfaces and is currently developing research focused on coatings to inhibit metallic corrosion in cultural goods made of silver. She is also interested in heritage education.
Rodolpho Zanibone is a PhD student in Arts with an emphasis on Cultural Heritage Preservation at the Graduate Program in Arts at the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (PPGArtes/EBA/UFMG). He holds a Master’s degree in Arts and a Bachelor’s degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage from the same university, and a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Barão de Mauá University Center. He has experience in graphic documents, working professionally in their conservation and restoration.
Vinícius Simedo is a student in the Conservation and Restoration Technology Graduation course at the Federal Institute of Minas Gerais in Ouro Preto-MG. He’s the President of the Academic Center of the same course and a volunteer content producer for the course’s webpage. He is also a scholarship student in the “Picturesque Landscapes” project, in which he researches and develops graphic representations of buildings of historical and cultural importance. Currently, he aims to work in areas related to iconographic and architectural investigation in order to deepen knowledge and understanding of the built assets to be conserved/restored in a Luso-Brazilian context.
